Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones News7t and our partners use. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies and storage we use

  • Sign-in cookie (essential): keeps you logged in if you have an account. It is removed when you sign out or after it expires.
  • Theme setting (essential): remembers whether you prefer the light or dark design.
  • Your cookie choice (essential): remembers the answer you gave on our cookie banner so we do not keep asking.

Counting how many people read a story does not use cookies: it uses an anonymous code that changes every day.

Advertising and analytics

  • Google AdSense shows the advertisements that help pay for News7t. Its script is loaded on our pages for every visitor. Until you press Accept, ads are non-personalised: they depend on the page you are reading and your general location, not on your interests or browsing history. Google and its advertising partners may still use cookies and similar identifiers for ad delivery, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure results and to prevent fraud.
  • Google Analytics measures how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, rough location, device type). It is loaded on our pages for every visitor in a privacy mode: until you press Accept it sets no cookies and stores no identifier on your device; Google receives only anonymous, cookie-less signals (the page, the time, an anonymised network address, your browser type) that it uses for statistics and for modelling.
  • If you accept, Google Analytics may use cookies to recognise your browser across visits, and ads may be personalised from your next page view on.
  • If you decline, the privacy mode stays: no analytics cookies and non-personalised ads.

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the page footer.
